HAPPY BIRTHDAY MAMA MARY!
When Jesus saw his mother,
and the disciple whom he loved standing near,
he said to his mother, “Woman, behold, your son!”
Then he said to the disciple, “Behold, your mother!”
And from that hour the disciple took her to his own home.

The Feast of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary was celebrated at least by the sixth century, when St. Romanos the Melodist, an Eastern Christian who composed many of the hymns used in the Eastern Catholic and Eastern Orthodox liturgies, composed a hymn for the feast. The feast spread to Rome in the seventh century, but it was a couple more centuries before it was celebrated throughout the West.
Augustine was born at the town of Tagaste (now Souk-Ahras, in modern day Algeria) on November 13, 354. He grew to become one the most significant and influential thinkers in the history of the Catholic Church, and his teachings were the foundation of Christian doctrine for a millennium.
The story of his life, up until his conversion, is written in the autobiographical Confessions, the most intimate and well known glimpse into an individual’s soul ever written, as well as a fascinating philosophical, theological, mystical, poetic and literary work.

Somehow, a part of Him remains in me. He is always there. He never left. Crazy, I walked away from Him whilst I am carrying Him in my life. He left a mark in me. A small fire that can ignite anytime, anywhere, anyhow. He was never too far. He is in that flickering fire in my heart. Some people initiates to ignite that fire, but I resist. Soon, I shall be the one to open that small fire. It is a risk: the fire may ignite once I released it, on the other hand, it may die too. I miss the seminary. I miss praying fervently. I miss Jesus.
